Acting Director of Public Affairs, University of Ghana, Ms. Eccles Andoh, has stated that all is set for the 2019/2020 Nov/Dec virtual congregation to take place.
She assured that management of the University has put necessary measures in place to ensure that all seventeen (17) sessions of the graduation ceremony are held from Monday, November 30 to Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Speaking on Campus Exclusive on Friday, November 27, 2020, Ms. Andoh explained that “going for virtual graduation is a good decision because we do not want to compromise the [COVID-19] situation.”
“We ensured that by the close of registration all those who had issues with their results and registration were sorted.”
However, “if someone is having challenges with Honours Awards the university management will sort it out,” she assured.
Collection of academic gowns
Ms. Eccles Andoh said acquiring the gowns will be segmented so students will have to go online and register.
According to her, “there was no earlier decision not to give out gowns, it was in a pipeline just that the modalities were not out then.”

She further stated that students will receive their certificates when they return their gowns, adding that the real cost of the congregation goes beyond the GHS 250.
