The Okponglo fraternity of the Mensah Sarbah Hall at the University of Ghana has scheduled to embark on a peaceful morale session on Friday evening.
The event, dubbed ‘A Friday In Valhalla’ is aimed at stressing the call for peace ahead of the December 7 polls.
The event is being organized in collaboration with the Casford Hall of the University of Cape Coast and the University Hall at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Speaking to UniversNews, Chief Justice of the Republic of Okponglo, Glen Abraham Ampomah, popularly known among his peers as Pacific, reiterated that it was necessary for Ghanaians to commit themselves to ensure peace during the election despite disagreement on who should lead the country.
“Valhalla is a form of Viking paradise for all Vikings. A Friday in Valhalla is to bring paradise back to the members of the hall. It will be mega because it is to preach peace message to Ghanaians and collaboration between Katanga and Casford,” he said.
Although the event will have people physically present, Glen Abraham Ampomah assured that all Covdi-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to.
He disclosed that the event will also witness the release of a new morale song.
He says that the event is opened to the public.
“The session will be in person with all covid 19 protocols in place, and will be held in Mensah Sarbah hall with lots of activities such as the release of a peace statement and a release of a new morale song”.
